The North Beach Animal Blessing is just a cool event, no doubt about it. Part of the Precious Cheese North Beach Festival, it offers you the chance to bring your adorable pampered pet to the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi and receive a special blessing just for our animal friends.
Imagine how good you and your teens will feel knowing that a protective and benevolent prayer has been said just for your non-human family member. Add great music and some of San Francisco’s best restaurants, and you’ve got a great event for the whole family.
Celebrating the Italian heritage of this area, the event focuses on promoting the North Beach area along with craftspeople from throughout the country. A juried arts and crafts show is part of the fun, and other highlights include a pizza tossing demonstration and plenty of Italian food. Enjoy the sounds of blues music as well as Latin rock, reggae, salsa and swing. Good times, here we come.
