The Lighted Yacht Parade is one of the most thrilling traditions in the Bay Area. Families come through many locations to see those decorated yachts pass by the Oakland Estuary.
This year’s theme is ""Winter Wonderland."" So the 100 or so yachts will parade with their own interpretation of the theme in the form of lighting decorations. Prizes will be given out in different categories. A spectacle that most people won’t want to miss.
Our tip is to watch it from Jack London Square, the best seeing venue and also a fun place to be. With Santa on hand, you’ll be sure to bring your camera and take a picture or two of the kids. And plenty of eateries are around for every one to enjoy. Make an evening of it and get into the holiday spirit.
