San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf
Location: Embarcadero and Taylor Sts., San Francisco
Fisherman’s Wharf is one of San Francisco’s most popular attraction for guests visiting
the beautiful City by the Bay. Many head straight to this waterfront area, where
you’ll enjoy the perfect view of the bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, and many other
famous San Francisco sites.
Kids love to watch the boats in the harbor and you can even hop aboard a sightseeing
cruise at the marina here and explore the city from the water. The whole family
will enjoy the aquarium located here, as well as the National Maritime Museum and
the USS Pampanito Submarine Museum.
You can also catch a boat out to Alcatraz Island from the wharf. On land, Fisherman’s
Wharf is full of shops, ranging from typical souvenir stores to those carrying fine
clothing and specialty items.
The eateries here are among the best in the city and include both casual places
to grab a quick bite or more formal sit-down restaurants. Be sure to taste the incredible
seafood offered here, especially the chowder served in a delectable sourdough bread
bowl!
