The Alameda County Fair is a big and beefy family event – games, food, music and nonstop exhibits covering baking, crafts, livestock and technology. Special attractions include the Action Zone, an interactive sports and fitness expo, as well as wine and karaoke contests and an “American Idol”-style talent show.
Enjoy the annual fair parade, and root your favorite on at the daily horse races.
There also will be traditional midway-style games. Teens (and brave adults) will want to climb aboard such thrill rides as Crazy Train, Wave Swinger and Whirlwind. Live music will also be featured, and the lineup of stars gets better every year.
