Red Alert! Red Alert! Chocolate lovers everywhere are invited to Ghirardelli Square for the annual Chocolate Festival and a little bit of chocolate heaven. The Festival promises a veritable feast of chocolate delicacies in all shapes and sizes created by the Bay Area’s most practiced chocolatiers…all ready for you to sample.
Think chocolate as you dream of tiramisu, truffles, fudge cake, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Imagine cascades of chocolate mousse, ganosh-filled cannolis, chocolate chess tarts, chocolate roulade, white chocolate crème brulee, chocolate sorbet, candies and cookies and much, much more.
There’ll be chocolate, chocolate everywhere to sample, live music, chef demonstrations and a special activity area for the children, featuring cookie decorating, face painting and balloon sculptures…plus the annual “hands-free” Earthquake Sundae Eating competition. Winners get their weight in chocolate for their efforts.
What could be better than good music, good friends and family and good chocolate? No matter what your taste for chocolate – from simply biting into a chocolate bar to enjoying a gourmet chocolate creation, you’ll find something for every palate at this annual event in praise of chocolate.
Location: Ghirardelli Square, 900 North Point St When: September
