The Italian Heritage Festival is the oldest parade of its kind in the US. This version is slated to be even better than the previous ones. Attracting over 400,000 people each year, the parade offers something for every one. Highlights include dozens of handcrafted parade floats featuring Bay Area businesses, community groups, and Italian organizations. Local high schools, Italian clubs and marching bands add a note of interest to the parade.

A special appearances by "Christopher Columbus" and Queen Isabella and Her Court brings awareness to its history. But the fun does not end there, festive open-air dining and Italian wine and food specials at North Beach restaurants lining the Parade route allow goes to taste morsels of tasty Italian food and libations.

Performances by a variety of traditional Italian musicians and performance artists as well as special appearances by Bay Area and Italian-American celebrities round out a moment of special magic for the entire family.
