The Palace of Fine Arts, built for the 1915 Pan Pacific Exposition, is located in the city’s Marina District, once part of the Presidio but now integrated into the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

This beautiful building features a classical Roman rotunda with curved colonnades and sits in an area of the park that’s perfect for walking or enjoying a picnic. The Palace of Fine Arts is one of the most photographed attractions in the city and has maintained its beauty for nearly a century. Visitors here can also make a stop at the Exploratorium (adjacent to the palace) after enjoying some quality outdoor time admiring this stunning building.
