Slavonic
Cultural Center San Francisco
Location: 60 Onondaga, San Francisco
The Slavonic Mutual and Benevolent Society was founded
in San Francisco in 1857 by Slavic immigrants, primarily from the region of present
day Croatia. In 1979, they finally were able to build their own building where they
preserve their history. It is a center for cultural programs which reflect the diverse
artistic traditions of the Balkans' diverse cultural groups. They also have a theater
where they present music performances.
