The Wok Wiz Tours will teach about the history, folklore, culture and food of America's largest Chinatown. Visit a Taoist and Buddhist temple, enjoy a tea tasting or ceremony, visit neighborhood markets and watch residents do their daily shopping, visit a Chinese herbal shop, and have a Dim Sum luncheon at one of Chinatown's finer restaurants.
The tour offers up to 4 hours of decadence! Begin with a Chinese breakfast, nibble on dim sum on the street, visit a wok shop or hardware store, and food markets. Finish the morning off with a hosted lunch! Chef Shirley takes you shopping in the markets of Chinatown. Return to the Wok Wiz Cooking Center for a fun-filled cooking class/demonstration, and share in a sumptuous 'heavy tasting' or complete meal. Sample menu: Hacked Seafood Pot Stickers, Mustard Greens and Roast Pork Chow Fun, Filet of Beef or Prawns & Scallops with Garlic-Ginger Black Bean Sauce over a bed of pan-fried Noodles. |
